The Forqué Awards will be presented in Seville on January 14

Carlos Latre will be the master of ceremonies of the 22nd edition of the Forqué Awards that will take place at the La Maestranza Theater in Seville.

The 22nd edition of the José María Forqué Awards will have Carlos Latre as master of ceremonies, one of the most prominent names on the national artistic scene. This comedian, imitator, presenter and Spanish actor will host the gala that will take place on January 14 at the Teatro de La Maestranza in Seville.

Latre takes the reins of these awards, which already have the endorsement of one who has become one of the greatest references in humor and imitation, as well as one of the most popular voices and faces in our country.

The Audiovisual Producers' Rights Management Entity (EGEDA), which organizes these awards, has already opened the voting process for members and jury. A period that will result in the final candidates for the 22 Forqué Awards and it will be on December 13 when the names of the finalists are revealed.

A total of seven awards, along with the EGEDA Gold medal, are awarded in a ceremony that marks the beginning of the season and also serves as a boost from critics and the public for a large number of films that aspire to become the most important titles of the year, as happened, for example, with Truman o The Minimum Island; the last two to win the award for best feature film. Other recognitions that are awarded, in addition to the aforementioned, are: best documentary feature film, best short film, best male and female performance, best Latin American film and award for cinema and education in values.

The José María Forqué Film Award, after 21 editions, has established itself as one of the most prestigious film awards in the Spanish film industry and is currently a must-see event for all professionals in the sector: actors, directors and producers.
