Jaume Balagueró (While you sleep, [Rec]) direct its ninth feature film, Muse, with a script by Balagueró and Fernando Navarro from the novel Lady number 13, by José Carlos Somoza.
This supernatural thriller, production by Castelao Pictures (Spain), Fantastic Films (Ireland), Frakas Productions (Belgium), The Jokers Films (France) and Muse Film AIE, will be distributed by Filmax in Spain. Starring Elliot Cowan, Franka Powerful, Ana Ulular, Manuela Vellés and Leonor Watling, the film is filmed for nine weeks in Ireland, Belgium and Spain.
The film presents Samuel, a professor of literature who does not step on the university from the tragic and unexpected death of his girlfriend. Since then, he suffers a recurring nightmare in which a woman is brutally murdered through a strange ritual.
When the same woman who appears every night in her dreams is found dead in identical circumstances, Samuel sneaks into the crime scene to investigate. There he meets Rachel, a young woman who does not know anything, but who claims to have also dreamed of the murder.
Together, they will do everything possible to discover the identity of the mysterious woman, immersing themselves in a dark world ruled by the muses that have inspired poets of all time.
