Eutelsat begins the distribution of two new UHD channels

Fashion channel Fashion TV (FTV UHD) and Travelxp 4K, the world's first 4K travel channel, can be followed on Hotbird at 13 degrees East.

Eutelsat has announced at CES 2017 the launch of two new Ultra HD channels on its Hotbird network. Fashion channel Fashion TV (FTV UHD) and Travelxp 4K, the world's first 4K travel channel, have closed a multi-year contract with Eutelsat to be distributed through Hotbird at 13 degrees East.

FTV UHD made its debut on Hotbird on December 23, while Travelxp 4K has been broadcasting since early 2017. Both channels broadcast with HEVC encoding with 10-bit color depth at 50 frames per second.
