Buy Eutelsat UHD with OneBeam DVB-SIS from Enensys

The satellite operator Eutelsat has selected OneBeam DVB-SIS technology from Enensys to deploy DTT in Ultra HD / 4K in France. DTT in France is being modernized in anticipation of major sporting events, in particular with France 2 and France 3 moving to Ultra High Definition.

Based on the DVB-T2 standard, UHD/4K broadcasting offers an unparalleled visual and sound experience, using the latest image quality and sound immersion technologies. All this while limiting the environmental impact, since consumption is reduced 10 times compared to equivalent emissions in a streaming service.

To achieve this, Eutelsat has adopted the tecnología DVB-SIS (Single Illumination System), an innovative standard to which Enensys has contributed significantly and which it has implemented with its OneBeam solution. This technology allows satellite links to be pooled to provide service to both DVB-T2 terrestrial transmitters (DTT) and homes that receive the direct-to-home (DTH) signal via satellite.

In the case of France Televisions, the solution has been deployed on the satellite Eutelsat 5WB at 5° West to supply DTT terrestrial transmitters in France, while serving homes using Fransat's free-to-air DTH satellite package.
