Cellnex aims to accelerate the deployment of networks in urban environments thanks to an agreement with Haya Real

The Spanish real estate asset and developer credit management services company will collaborate with the telecommunications operator to locate ideal locations to host new infrastructure.

Cellnex Telecom and Haya Real Estate (HRE) have signed an exclusive collaboration agreement, which aims to identify suitable locations in the real estate assets managed by Haya RE in urban environments, and, where appropriate, accommodate infrastructures that allow the deployment of telecommunications networks.

In this sense, Haya RE will propose, following technical and suitability indications from Cellnex, those sites that are part of its extensive portfolio of properties, in which the operator can carry out the installation, maintenance and conservation of telecommunications infrastructure that contributes to the deployment of networks in both cities and small and medium-sized municipalities throughout the national territory.

To this end, Haya RE calculates that there are more than 13,500 properties in its portfolio (from financial assets) susceptible to selection within the framework of the exclusive agreement signed by both companies.

The agreement reached is part of the collaboration strategy with different companies that Cellnex is developing, and that will allow the densification of networks in the urban environment, which respond to current and future connectivity needs, as well as position itself in the deployment of the fifth generation of mobile telephony (5G) or the deployment of what are known as distributed antenna systems (DAS).
