Conecta Fiction will celebrate its first edition in Santiago de Compostela

Movistar+ will offer a development contract to one of the ten projects that are finalists for the pitching session for international co-production series and mini-series of Conecta Fiction.

Conecta Fiction, the first international event dedicated exclusively to the co-production of fiction for television, and Movistar+ have closed a collaboration agreement with the aim of supporting, with the active presence of the company in various sections of the event, the celebration of its first edition that will take place in Santiago de Compostela between June 20 and 23, 2017 and which aspires to become the meeting point and business platform for the co-production of fiction between Latin America, the Spanish-speaking United States and Europe.

Conecta Fiction is presented to the market as an excellent opportunity to discover talent, new projects and to find financing that allows the launch of new international co-productions.

The participation of Movistar+ as a collaborating partner in this first edition will be broad and transversal, covering various axes of the event, with special relevance for its support to the industry in the project pitching sessions where it will assume the role of investor/co-producer offering a development contract for one of the 10 series selected by the committee of international experts of Conecta Fiction. The finalist projects, series and mini-series, will be announced at the beginning of June. Movistar+ will select one of these projects, making its name public during the event. The call for the presentation of projects will be open here until April 15.
