Telecinco leads audiences for the third consecutive month
The three large networks, La1, Telecinco and Antena 3, accounted for a 35.8% share, dropping 1.8 points in April compared to last month.
Telecinco (13.4%) was the most watched channel in April for the third consecutive month, with a decrease of seven tenths compared to last month. According to the Barlovento Comunicación report, they are followed by Antena 3 (12.5%), La1 (9.8%), paid themes (8.8%), regional (7.3%), LaSexta (6.3%), Cuatro (6%), FDF (3%), La2 (2.5%) and Neox (2.4%), among the top ten.

The leadership by business groups is for Mediaset España with 29.2% (up +0.3 points). Atresmedia obtained 27.1% (up 0.8 points). For their part, the channels of the public corporation RTVE added 16.1% (up 0.4 points).
The total consumption in the month of April adding linear, deferred and guests registered 240 minutes per person and day. The breakdown of consumption by the different modalities is as follows: 222 linear minutes, 4 delayed minutes, and 14 guest minutes, which represents 6% of total consumption.
Compared to last month, 12 minutes less were recorded, linear + delayed (viewers not resident in the viewing home), and 12 minutes less than in April 2016.
72.5% of Spaniards have contacted television on a daily basis (12,262,000 individuals do not watch television on average daily).
In the accumulated monthly period, 98% of the population aged 4 and over has watched television for at least one minute in the last month. Of the 44.6 million potential viewers as a consumer universe, 887,000 people have not tuned in for a single minute of television in this last month of April.
The regional broadcasters as a whole averaged 7.3% screen share in April, two tenths less than last month. The regional ranking by screen share is headed, for the third consecutive month, by Tv Galicia (10.4%), followed by Televisió de Catalunya (9.6%), Canal Sur (9.4%), Aragón Tv (8.4%) and ETB2 (7.8%). The private regional governments signed 0.8%, one tenth less than in March. The Catalan 8TV (3.2%) was the private autonomous community that achieved the highest share.
The most watched broadcast of the month in (linear+guests) corresponded to the extension of the Chapions match between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich (on Antena on April 18) with 10,010,000 average audience and 46.7% screen share.
In this last month, nearly 5 million tweets about television programs were recorded (from the total number of channels monitored by Kantar Media and in the 24/7 period), 43% of the tweets correspond to Telecinco programs.
The ranking of networks by number of tweets is headed by Telecinco, LaSexta and Antena 3. In this last month, the television programs that have had the most presence on the Twitter social network are GH Vip (Telecinco), with 26% of the total, The Jugones Chiringuito (Mega) and Survivors (Telecinco).
