Telecinco leads the audience for the seventh consecutive month
With 12.5% it once again leads ahead of Antena 3 (11.5%), La1 (10.2%), regional (7.3%), LaSexta (6%), Cuatro (6%), FDF (3.3%), La2 (2.7%) and Neox (2.5%).
Telecinco, with 12.5%, was the most watched channel in August for the seventh consecutive month, although it fell 1.3 points compared to last month. They are followed by Antena 3 (11.5%), La1 (10.2%), paid themes (8.1%), regional (7.3%), LaSexta (6%), Cuatro (6%), FDF (3.3%), La2 (2.7%) and Neox (2.5%), among the top ten.
According to the report of Windward Based on data from Kantar Media, the maximum records are BemadTV (0.8%) and Real Madrid HD (0.6%), as well as the regional 3/24 of Catalonia (2.2%), LaOtra of Telemadrid (1.1%), TPA2 of Asturias (1%), with percentages of screen share in their scope of coverage.
The regional broadcasters as a whole average 7.3% of screen share, one tenth more than last month. The ranking of regional broadcasters by screen share is headed by TV3 (10.1%) followed by TVG (9.9%), C.SUR (8.9%), ETB2 (8.0%), and Aragón Tv (7.9%).
The three large networks, La1, Telecinco and Antena 3, registered 34.2% share last month, dropping 0.8 points compared to last month.
The leadership by business groups goes to Mediaset España with 28.3% (down -1.7 points), while Atresmedia obtains 25.7% (up +0.5 points), TVE adds 17.1% (up +0.1 points), Vocento gets 3.3% (down -0.1 points) and Unidad Editorial 2.9% (up +0.4 points).
Total consumption (linear+deferred+guest) registers 205 minutes per person per day, eleven minutes less than the previous month. The breakdown of consumption by the different modalities is as follows: 188' linear + 3' deferred + 13' of guests, which represents 6% of total consumption.
For its part, the set of paid themes averages 8.1% screen share, which is an increase of 0.5 points compared to last month. Television consumption through linear distribution systems has been distributed as follows: DTT (77.3%), cable (10.2%), IPTV (9.1%) and digital satellite (2.9%).
The most watched broadcast in August was the Super Cup match between Real Madrid and Barcelona broadcast by Telecinco on the 16th, which achieved 7,139,000 average audience and 50.5% screen share. (linear+guests) and 6,553,000 average audience and 49.8% screen share (linear).
In this last month, more than 5 million tweets about television programs were registered (from the total number of channels monitored by Kantar Media and in the 24/7 period), 31% of the tweets correspond to Telecinco. The ranking of networks by number of tweets is headed by Telecinco, HBO and Antena3.
