The Filmarket Hub online platform is renewed to better adapt to the needs of its users
The new functionalities and improvements in usability will allow companies to meet their specific needs when looking for projects or international partners, while at the same time they will encourage creatives to maintain continuous development of their projects.
Filmmarket Hub, the online market for film and television projects with more than 10,000 registered professionals from Spain and Latin America, renews its web platform to promote the development of original ideas and facilitate their discovery by producers and companies in the audiovisual sector.
The new functionalities and improvements in usability will allow companies to meet their specific needs when looking for projects or international partners, while at the same time they will encourage creatives to maintain continuous development of their projects through permanent calls.
After updating the platform, the co-founder and CEO of Filmarket Hub, Andrea Giannone, addresses the company's new challenges: "The latest changes will allow us to make the leap to the entire European continent, capture more fiction series projects and increase success stories."
Along with the improvements on the website, the company is going to reinforce its commitment to calls for pitching events and project presentations to companies in the audiovisual sector, an aspect in which they collaborate closely with international film festivals.
In this sense, Bernardo Gómez, co-founder and director of operations of Filmarket Hub, remembers that in the remainder of 2017 they will hold four more calls. “And we are working with the goal that in 2018 we can offer a call every month to present projects to companies,” says Gómez.
Filmarket Hub companies with a Pro account will be able to filter the projects available on the market much more precisely, since now you can specify if the project has a director, what percentage of the budget it has secured, if you are looking for a co-producer from a specific country, private investment, sales or distribution agent.
The new platform also includes a section where companies looking for projects can indicate their preferences and receive personalized recommendations with the proposals that best suit their tastes.
Another novelty is the 'Selections' section, which collects and organizes the best projects on the market, including rankings, scripts with excellent evaluation or projects that have been selected in previous calls.
The improvements implemented in Filmarket Hub focus on matching between projects and companies, so that the options for reaching script, co-production, international sales or distribution agreements considerably increase.
News for creatives
As for the news aimed at creatives who expose their projects to the market, Filmarket Hub offers a more visual and orderly design, optimizing the usability and sale of the project.
The platform encourages the user to keep their projects in continuous development thanks to a renewed calendar of calls. It includes the traditional pitching events and will also add a new form of online call, open all year round and in which the user will be able to send their project to large content companies.
The database of professionals registered in Filmarket Hub is maintained on the new platform and is now called 'Industry'. It has more complete profiles and portfolios, and allows you to contact directly through a completely renewed private messaging system.
Un marketplace audiovisual
Filmarket Hub launched its innovative online project market in early 2015. Since then it has brought together more than 10,000 professionals, including companies such as Studiocanal, RTVE, Movistar, Tripictures, Vaca Films or Filmax, among many others.
It is an audiovisual marketplace that operates both in the initial phase of development, connecting scriptwriters and directors with producers who may be interested in their ideas, and in more advanced phases of development, connecting projects that already have a producer with co-producers, international sales agents, distributors and commission editors of television networks or video-on-demand platforms.
The goal of its founders is to eliminate barriers in the audiovisual sector to easily and quickly connect creative projects with companies around the world that can turn those original ideas into reality.
Already established as the largest online market in Spain and Latin America, Filmarket Hub has in its first three years of life several success stories in scriptwriting and international co-production agreements.
