Filmarket Hub announces the projects selected to participate in its Pitchbox pitching

The Filmarket Hub online platform is an online marketplace that connects film and television projects in development with companies in the audiovisual sector.

The online platform Filmmarket Hub has announced the projects selected for the fifth edition of its Pitchbox pitching. The event will be held the next day May 22 in Madrid. As usual, there are seven projects selected, to which are added ten special mentions.

Following the successful format of previous Pitchbox events, the selected projects will have seven minutes to make a sales pitch with visual support to the invited companies. Once the pitching session is over, a networking with appetizers will take place where projects and companies can share impressions and contacts.

Filmarket Hub is an online marketplace that connects film and television projects in development with companies in the audiovisual sector. This is an initiative that was born with the objective of giving visibility to the best emerging talent and promoting agreements to produce new projects. It currently has more than 12,000 users from all over Europe and Latin America.

The platform has also organized several pitching events under the Pitchbox brand, the last of which was TV Pitchbox, where seven series projects were presented to companies such as Amazon Prime Video Spain or HBO Spain. Last October, Sitges Pitchbox 2017 was also held, the third edition of the event, held in collaboration with the Sitges Film Festival, focused on genre projects and presented by Guillermo del Toro.

These events have led to numerous success stories, among which 'Sin Fin' stands out, the debut film by the Alenda brothers starring María León and Javier Rey. The film, which achieved an international sales and national distribution agreement with Filmax, premiered at the latest edition of the Malaga Festival, where it won several awards, including: the ASECAN award for best debut film and the Silver Biznaga award for best actor for the role played by Javier Rey.
