Replays are created using the LSM environment and all available media resources, including replays, promotional content, pre-packaged highlights and interactive elements, are centralized in DYVI and used to create a live video experience that is instantly delivered to the stadium video boards.

Ben Dolinky, head of video operations for the San Francisco Giants, acknowledges that "when I was looking at the switchers available on the market, I didn't want to install anything else once I had the opportunity to DYVI. I was initially intrigued by the programmable nature of the system and the more I realized that, the more I realized we could benefit from their non-traditional switcher concept."

Due to its GPU-based architecture, the production team can create completely customized content for each match. DYVI allows technical directors to design presentations complete with the appropriate content, sponsors and marketing actions. This custom content can be quickly retrieved from the mixer itself with the push of a button. This flexibility has allowed them to take the stadium scoreboard to a new level of creative control.

The production team can also create custom macros for specific actions, such as individual transition effects for each player. Dolinky points out that "we couldn't show any action on the main video card during the game so we could only capture 70% of the game time. DYVI compensates for this, allowing us to create interactive effects throughout the entire game time. It allows us to turn something so necessary into something much more entertaining."

"And because it is based on IT hardware and has extremely flexible macro-based software, DYVI is an investment in the future of the team's production workflows. Plus, it puts the San Francisco Giants ahead when it comes to creating content for their team," he concludes.
