X-One, EVS' new all-in-one solution for live multi-camera production

EVS's software-defined architecture is built on a new foundation of GPU-based technology that opens up more creative capabilities for users who are able to customize their operation workflows. The software-defined architecture has been implemented so far in the DYVI mixer, the Xeebra VAR system and other EVS products currently in development.
The system natively supports AIMS IP ST 2110 compatible sources while assisting production operators with features that can be implemented through a series of applications and plugins that can be added to the system. The X-One architecture can be easily configured to expand inputs/outputs as well as offer UHD-4K formats for future needs.
It allows ingest from six camera channels, as well as importing media from any other file, which operators use to create replays, control audio, cut or mix a live source with the built-in video mixer and even add on-air graphics.
Laurent Petit, senior vice president of products at EVS, highlights that “the X-One presents an unparalleled level of intuitiveness and provides variable functions that users need, depending on the type of production they are working on. This is what we call contextualized production.”
"Producers of small live broadcasts are challenged to find the right set of creative production tools that meets their professional technology needs on a smaller budget. X-One is destined to break that gap as it offers the best compromise between quality and price and has an ultra-simplified production system that allows all aspects of live production to be managed and controlled by a single operator," adds Petit.
The system will be available for purchase in late 2017 with new software updates available in the first quarter of 2018 that will provide users with a wider range of applications and features.
