The Sony Pro Tour will demonstrate the possibilities of the new Sony cameras with the MK18-55 and MK50-135 4K lenses with native E-Mount mount.

Fuji MK lens with Sony

On October 17, 26 and 31, the Sony Pro Tour will stop in Valencia, Bilbao and Santiago de Compostela. In this event, Sony will show the new cameras presented at the IBC fair in Amsterdam: PXW-Z90, the PXW-FS5 and the PXW-FS7 II. These cameras will be displayed alongside the new MK18-55 and MK50-135 4K lenses with native E-Mount mount from Fujifilm.

In recent years, films made by new filmmakers have become popular, including corporate and commercial productions on the Internet and other media. This has led to new opportunities for film recording using regular digital or cinema cameras, and has boosted demand for high-performance cinema lenses that offer high resolution and advanced imaging capabilities. To record these materials, interchangeable lenses for digital cameras are usually used to the detriment of film camera lenses, since the former are cheaper and easier to transport. However, these lenses are designed primarily for still images and are therefore prone to problems such as focus shift and optical axis shift when zooming…

In response, Fujifilm has developed the MK series of cinema lenses that solve these problems, while offering advanced optical performance and an ultra-compact, lightweight design at an affordable price.

The Fujinon MK50-135mm T2.9 (MK50-135mm) cinema telephoto zoom lens has a focal length of 50-135mm and can be combined with the Fujinon MK18-55mm T2.9 (MK18-55mm) standard zoom lens to form a compact and lightweight set that covers the most commonly used focal lengths from 18mm to 135mm, adapting to a varied spectrum that includes landscapes, architecture and portraits. They share the same front element diameter, filter thread, and three-ring gear position. Thus, users can use the same accessories, such as filters and filter holders. This means there is no need to readjust the position of accessories when swapping lenses, simplifying operations on the front line of video production.

Los camcorders

Sony PXW-Z90The PXW-Z90 offers broadcast-quality 4K with advanced features such as high-speed autofocus, immediate HDR workflow, super slow motion up to 1000fps, and 2.4GHz or 5GHz streaming with QoS.

As for the PXW-FS5, it is a portable camcorder that must allow it to be handled in small spaces, be able to work while holding it on your lap and move freely to record at high and low angles with the same effectiveness. It records 4K at 60/50 fps in FS RAW and weighs just 0.8 kg.

The PXW-FS7 II is one of the most versatile Super 35mm camcorders in the world. The wide range of improvements, from a new lens mount and optimized ergonomics, to the world's leading automatic and electronic variable neutral density system, promise to transform shooting possibilities.

At the Sony Pro Tour, director of photography Antonio Galisteo will share his tips and tricks for filming in HDR as well as streaming and file transfer techniques.
