Kuwait TV wins BroadcastPro award for asset management facility developed by EVS and Tedial

Kuwait State Television was the first broadcaster to implement the joint solution developed by the Belgian and Spanish company that combines the speed and reliability of EVS live production technology with Tedial's MAM Evolution infrastructure.

Kuwait TV ha sido galardonada con el premio Editor’s Choice para proyectos broadcast en la BroadcastPro Summit and Awards 2017 celebrada recientemente en Dubai. El broadcaster estatal de Kuwait puso en marcha una nueva instalación de producción que incluye una solución integrada de gestión de activos en vivo de EVS y Tedial.

Operado por el Ministerio de Información de Kuwait, Kuwait TV produce y difunde contenido en sus ocho canales de televisión cuya gestión de activos de producción se lleva ahora a cabo con la ayuda de EVS IPDirector y el sistema de gestión de archivos a largo plazo de Tedial.
Meshal Al-Makled, Undersecretary of Technical Affairs at Kuwait's Ministry of Information, acknowledged when collecting the award that "this award is very important to us as it recognizes the hard work of the people who were instrumental in putting together our new cutting-edge content production workflow. We chose to install this joint solution because the interoperability of our systems was very important." Al-Makled thanked EVS and Tedial for the support they provided in the development of this interesting project.

The bidirectional link is part of a new production workflow installed by Kuwaiti SI, INC System Integrations. During live productions, content is ingested into more than two dozen EVS XS series servers and users can quickly and efficiently send live assets such as replays, highlights and clips from IPDirector directly to Tedial's Evolution. Quickly moving content this way immediately frees up valuable storage space on EVS servers.

During post-production, users can search the archive for assets and metadata, including EVS logs, and fully restore footage to the EVS system so it can be easily used in any other programming. The solution combines the speed and reliability of live production technology from EVS with a secure MAM infrastructure from Tedial. Eliminates unnecessary additional steps from the production workflow and allows operators to manage content more easily and efficiently.
