‘Tierra Firma’, best Spanish film at the RNE Sant Jordi Cinematography Awards
The film directed by Carlos Marqués-Marcet is the winner in the 62nd edition of these awards given by RNE Catalunya.
The jury of the RNE Sant Jordi Cinematography Awards made public this Monday the decision of the awards presented by RNE Catalunya in its 62nd edition. Mainland, directed by Carlos Marqués-Marcet, participated by RTVE, has been chosen best spanish film.
The film is the story of two women (Natalia Tena and Oona Chaplin) who decide to have a child together and to do so they involve the best friend of one of them (David Verdaguer).
Núria Prims (uncertain glory) y David Verdaguer (Summer 1993 y Mainland) have been chosen as best actress and best spanish actor.
The award for the best first film has been for Summer 1993 and in the section International Light! the adventure begins, by Thierry Frémaux has been chosen best film and James Franco and Kate Winslet, best actor and actress.
The jury, chaired by RNE film journalist Conxita Casanovas, brings together the most representative critics and specialists of the seventh art in the media.
The RNE Sant Jordi Cinematography Awards also recognize an outstanding professional career in the world of cinema. Likewise, the Sant Jordi Award for Industry in collaboration with the Generalitat of Catalonia. In addition, by vote of RNE listeners, the Rosas de Sant Jordi are awarded to the best Spanish and foreign films.
The name of the winners of these awards will be known later, before the delivery gala which will be held next April 23.
