Televisión Española produced the Goya gala from two VAV Group mobile units

VAV Group brought its 21 4K mobile unit, configured on this occasion as High Definition, and unit 4 to cover the arrival of guests on the red carpet, to the Madrid Marriott Auditorium Hotel.

For this occasion, with the desire to renew the award ceremony (by the way, an objective not achieved), the Film Academy commissioned its Production A Globomedia. The gala presented by Joaquín Reyes and Ernesto Sevilla has had Yousaf Bokhari as Executive Producer by the institution and Juan Andrés García on the part of the production company.

The idea and design of the scenography has been the work of the artistic director Lluis Danés, who was also recently commissioned in the setting of the Gaudí family. In terms of lighting, the scenography has been based on a design by Juan Carlos García, while Javier Contreras has been in charge of the sound coordination.

On behalf of Televisión Española, Borja Gálvez has been in charge of the executive production, while the production has been the work of Luis Campoy. The post-production of the different promos and pieces was carried out in Pastime Productions and The Lobby.

For this edition, Televisión Española has chosen to use the production services of both the main and secondary mobile units of VAV Group.

VAV Group UM 21 4K

VAV Group moved to the Madrid Marriott Auditorium Hotel Your Unity Mobile 21 4K, configured on this occasion as High Definition. During the broadcast, a dozen cameras Sony HDC-4300 equipped with Optical Fujinon Premier UHD UA107X8.4. On the other hand, Televisión Española provided four RF cameras and three robotic cameras.

The unit is equipped with a Kahuna 9600 mixer with a 4 M/E SAM control panel together with a Sirius 830 (120×192) matrix of SAM, Glue Albalá, test equipment and Tektronix, One console Calrec Red Hydra next to a Summa 36 surface, Genelec 5.1 audio monitoring and various equipment of AEQ such as telephone hybrids (TH03 EX), 3 AEQ Eagle ISDN codecs and an AEQ Kroma CrossNet intercom matrix.

Four XT 4K servers from EVS, in Channel Max configuration, allowed the broadcast of the highlights of the red carpet and of the award ceremony itself as well as the signal at speeds of 3, 4, 5, 8 or 10 times the real time coming from the system Super-fast camera bolt attached to an ultra-high-speed robotic arm. This system allows you to combine super-slow motion images (captured at high frame rates) with acceleration shots to convey an intense sense of glamour.

The system, developed by MRMC (Mark Roberts), is based on a robotic arm and two Phantom Flex 4K cameras that capture at speeds of between 400 and 1000 frames per second. The arm has six axes capable of moving at a speed of 5.6 meters per second.

VAV Group also moved its Mobile Unit 4 for the coverage of the arrival of guests on the red carpet. This unit is equipped with a SAM Kahuna mixer 48 inputs 2 M/E, one SAM 64×128 HD video matrix, one audio console Yamaha CL5 with 72 mono + 8 stereo channels, 24 mix buses, and 8 matrix busses and a Intercom Conexia by AEQ Kroma.
