Broadcast Solutions will exhibit two mobile units at IBC 2023
One of the largest European media systems integration groups, Broadcast Solutions, will bring two of its latest recently integrated mobile units to IBC 2023.
This is a large articulated truck custom built for SuperSport, and a recent 12-camera fixed chassis unit based on Broadcast Solutions' Streamline family that will be delivered to Remotion. During the fair there will also be demonstrations of the innovative system of wireless transmission meshLINK.
SuperSport IP2 It is the second unit supplied to the South African chain, after IP1 in June of this year. Its intelligent design allows up to 19 workstations to be housed in a single expandable trailer.
It is equipped with cameras and a production mixer Sony, audio Calrec, graphics Vizrt and repetitions EVS. Internally, IP2 is fully IP, with SNP processors Imagine Communications for SDI/IP conversion.
Like the SuperSport vehicle, the Remotion S8L on display in Amsterdam is fully Ultra HD compatible. The unit is built on an 18-ton MAN chassis, with a custom body and internal layout to support 10 to 12 jobs, including cameras. Grass Valley, a production switcher Sony, audio console Theirs and intercom Riedel.
Despite the long delivery times for the base vehicle, thanks to the flexible standard format, Broadcast Solutions was able to complete the project in less than 11 months.
Both vehicles use the management layer hi human interface from Broadcast Solutions. This radical new approach to system control, which emphasizes simple and intuitive operation as well as complete automation, will be displayed at Broadcast Solutions' dedicated hi human interface booth within IBC2023, 10.D41.
The company will also show the platform wireless transmission high quality video meshLINK in the outdoor exhibition area. Developed by Broadcast Solutions, it transforms the planning and execution of wireless cameras through the use of an IP mesh network. Each unit acts as a transmitter, receiver and repeater at the same time, and multiple cameras operate on the same frequency. Provides excellent image quality by using H.265 encoding, up to 4k Ultra HD, with connectivity through 12G SDI or 2SI.
The outdoor exhibition venue will also include partner companies Thum + Mahr, Birds Camera Solutions y TVC.
