Cellnex Telecom presents its latest proposals to enrich viewer interactivity
Coinciding with the Professional Audiovisual Technology Show, at IFEMA from May 8 to 10, the operator broadcasts in collaboration with RTVE images in UHD 4K from Torrespaña that can be received in Madrid and its metropolitan area.
Cellnex Telecom, the main European neutral operator of telecommunications services and infrastructure, participates for another year in BIT Audiovisual, the Professional Audiovisual Technology Show, which under the title The world is audiovisual, is held from May 8 to 10 in Pavilion 7 of IFEMA – Feria de Madrid.
In the current edition of BIT Audiovisual, which is now celebrating its 30th anniversary, Cellnex is presenting at its stand (7D20) a whole series of solutions aimed at enhancing viewer interactivity, such as Start Over that allows you to restart the broadcast of a streaming program using a HbbTV app.
Cellnex Telecom also shows applications and Over The Top (OTT) services, which on the one hand give the viewer an active role in the audiovisual content and on the other hand allow the broadcaster greater knowledge of the results of their programming. These applications include video on demand services that can be accessed from HbbTV, PCs and tablets.
UHD 4K broadcasts from Torrespaña
Coinciding with the celebration of BIT Audiovisual, Cellnex is broadcasting from Torrespaña various content recorded in UHD 4K HDR that can be received in Madrid and its metropolitan area through channel 32, in a signal modulated in DVB-T2 and encoded in HEVC.
During the fair, three episodes of the documentary series are broadcast Spanish World Heritage Cities produced in 4K HDR by RTVE. The main cities of these emissions are Santiago de Compostela, Mérida and Toledo.
The 4K signal test broadcasts are carried out, in addition to Torrespaña, from the broadcasting centers of San Fernando de Henares, Collserola and Baix Llobregat in Barcelona, Valencina in Seville, Mijas in Malaga and recently added, with the collaboration of Televés, Santiago de Compostela.
Conference program
Cellnex's participation in the BIT Audiovisual conference program focuses on three presentations on this occasion. On May 8 (10:30 a.m.), Sergi Alsina, Senior Product Manager of the Product Strategy department of Cellnex Telecom, will participate in a round table that will address the agreement reached by RTVE, Atresmedia and Mediaset to promote an HbbTV platform.
On May 10 (10:30 a.m.), Jaume Pujol, Head of Strategy at Cellnex Telecom, will participate in the panel of experts that will debate the transformation of the television business with the impact of the deployment of 5G networks, the new digital dividend or OTT services.
Finally, Albert Cuatrecasas, director of Cellnex Spain, will speak on the 10th (1:00 p.m.) in a talk about the Wanda Metropolitano, the first fully digital IP stadium in Europe (1:00 p.m.). He will speak alongside René Abril Martín, director of technology and systems at Club Atlético de Madrid and Agustín Cárdenas Fernández, digital business development at Telefónica de España.
