Mariano Barroso heads the only candidacy for the presidency of the Film Academy
The director, screenwriter and current acting president of the institution, Mariano Barroso, heads the only candidacy in which the producer Rafael Portela and the actress Nora Navas also participate, as first and second vice presidents, respectively.
The Film Academy will choose the next June 9, Saturday, to its new president in a General Assembly. The only candidacy for the presidency is the one headed by the director, screenwriter and current acting president of the institution, Mariano Barroso, and is formed by the producer Rafael Portela and the actress Nora Navas, as first and second vice presidents, respectively. On that same day, half of the Board of Directors will also be renewed.
The Assembly is open only to academics, who have been able to vote electronically and by mail, and who will also be able to exercise their right to vote during the Assembly.
From 10 in the morning until 11:30 the ballot box will be open for academics with the right to vote (numerary members, supernumerary members, honorary members and associate members).
