The Board of Directors of the Film Academy decides not to outsource the production of the next Goya Awards gala, corresponding to the 33rd edition.

The 33rd edition of the Goya Awards, which will be held next February 2019 (predictably on Saturday the 2nd), already has presenters. The actress and comedian Silvia April (Mataró, 1971) and the comedian, presenter and producer Andreu Buenafuente (Reus, 1965) will be the masters of ceremonies for the awards. Regular tandem in the program Late Reason, will also be a couple on the big night of Spanish cinema, where this professional will make her debut as host, while for Buenafuente it will be her third time hosting and directing the Goya Awards.

A television face well known to viewers, Silvia Abril combines the small and big screens. As an actress she has participated, among others, in the films of Javier Ruiz Caldera, (Spanish Movie, Three Too Many Weddings, Anacleto: Secret Agent) and box office hits of Spanish cinema such as Torrente 4: Operation Eurovegas y elite body.

Andrew Buenafuente was in charge of the galas of the 24th and 25th edition of the awards. With the Catalan as host, the ceremony achieved its audience record in 2010, crossing the barrier of 4.5 million viewers, becoming the most watched in history. He also took on the V Edition of the Gaudí Awards of the Catalan Academy in 2013.

From the producer The Terrace, has developed numerous entertainment formats, television and radio programs and cinematographic fictions. He currently directs the program Late Motive of Movistar+ and hosts the program with Berto Romero nobody knows anything of the Being Chain.

After more than ten editions with a single presenter, the 33rd will be the first to have two since 2006, when Antonio Resines and Concha Velasco were the masters of ceremonies.
