Denis Rovira shoots 'The influence' in Madrid and Asturias

The influence, the director's first feature film Denis Rovira, participated by RTVE, is currently filming in different locations in Madrid and Asturias. In The influence, Alicia returns to the sinister mansion from which she fled as a child, a home that has never housed happy childhoods, now a young mother of a family. Accompanied by her husband and her nine-year-old daughter, Nora, Alicia seeks to rebuild her life while she is forced to confront a past she thought buried and a body that refuses to die: that of Victoria, the possessive matriarch of the family, who has fallen into a deep coma and survives connected to a machine, and for whom little Nora feels an unhealthy fascination.
Starring the three-time Goya winner Emma Suárez, along with Manuela Vellés Maggie Civantos, Alain Hernández and Claudia Placer, The influence It is based on the novel of the same name by Ramsey Campbell, one of the great masters of contemporary horror stories, with a script by Denis Rovira, Daniel Rissech and Michel Gaztambide.
Its director, Denis Rovira, is the author of the disturbing trilogy of fantasy genre shorts Ángel, Lazarus Taxon y The faucet.
Under the production of Kiko Martínez, filming began in June with Isaac Vila in charge of photo direction and lasts for 7 weeks in locations in Asturias and Madrid. It is a production of nobody is perfect, with the participation of RTVE and the collaboration of the public Film Commission of the Principality of Asturias. Its cinematographic distribution will be carried out by Sony Pictures Entertainment Iberia.
