Canon will celebrate 60 years in the broadcast lens market at IBC
In Amsterdam it will present its 4K broadcast lenses along with its 4K HDR reference monitors.
Canon will present at IBC 2018 its innovation in 4K/UHD HDR, both in lenses and monitors, with its complete range of products for cinema and broadcast.
Coinciding with the fair, the multinational celebrates the 60th anniversary of the broadcast objectives area high quality.
Visitors will be able to learn about the chronology of innovative products created over six decades, such as the first BCTV zoom lens that used artificial fluorine (J10x10B), created in 1974; the first telephoto lens with internal focus, created in 1982; as well as its lens for cameras with a large format sensor, with a tele focal length of 1,000 mm (CN20x50).
In 2018, Canon once again demonstrated its innovation in lenses with the launch of a new medium field tele lens, the UJ66x9B, as well as three new ENG/EFP lenses for broadcast: CJ24ex7.5B, CJ18ex7.6B y CJ14ex4.3B. Launched within a completely new lens category, dubbed UHDgc, these new models prioritize operability and compatibility, at an affordable price.
Canon will also highlight its 4K HDR reference monitors, including the DP-V2421, compatible with 12G-SDI, and the DP-V1711, ideal for versatile applications in 4K HDR production in the studio, editing and finishing tasks.
New EOS C700
On the other hand, after its launch last March, the nueva EOS C700 FF, the flagship camera for primary production, which has been used by cinematographer Nancy Schreiber, along with director Nigel Dick, in A Dishful of Dollars, can also be seen at this year's stand.
The EOS C700 FF, which has expanded the range of high-end cameras in the EOS Cine series, has a new sensor Full Format CMOS from Canon, 38.1 mm x 20.1 mm, which allows recording with a 5.9K resolution, providing maximum quality and creative freedom.
