The UHD Digisuper 86 (UJ86x9.3B) and the UHD Digisuper 90 (UJ90x9B) provide exceptional optical performance, surpassing 4K resolution in the case of the 86.

UHD Digisuper 86 (UJ86x9.3B)

Canon presents at IBC two new 2/3" 4K field lenses: the UHD Digisuper 86 (UJ86x9.3B) and the UHD Digisuper 90 (UJ90x9B), which provide exceptional optical performance. In the case of the 86, it even exceeds 4K resolution and offers a very wide focal range, making it ideal for live television broadcasts.

These two new lenses are part of Canon's growing range of 2/3" 4K lenses, joining the recently launched CJ12ex4.3B. Both offer professionals the freedom to record and broadcast live content or sports competitions in spectacular 4K quality.

Both guarantee an image without any aberration from the center to the edges, both in the telefocals and in the angular ones, thanks to their advanced optical construction. Additionally, the increased use of fluorite and UD glass lenses, combined with Canon's professional coatings, enable exceptional ghosting and ghosting control for high contrast images and a wide range of tones.

Maximum flexibility

The UHD Digisuper 86 (UJ86x9.3B) has an 86x zoom, with a focal range of 9.3 mm – 800 mm. The UJ90x9B model goes even further, with a 90x zoom, offering a focal range of 9mm – 810mm. To ensure camera operators can work in a wide range of scenarios, both lenses feature a built-in 2x multiplier, which doubles the telefocal length while maintaining their exceptional 4K resolution.

When recording in 4K environments, such as live sports broadcasts, the slightest image movement is not tolerated. Thanks to Canon's Optical Image Stabilization technology, both the UHD Digisuper 86 (UJ86x9.3B) and UHD Digisuper 90 (UJ90x9B) deliver crisp, clear results with maximum precision, even when panning the camera, which is essential for tracking moving subjects in competitions and sporting events, while compensating for wobble. Additionally, camera operators can keep subjects in focus even in the most difficult situations, such as when a long focal length is required, but with a shallow depth of field.

Both lenses are compact and have a size and weight comparable to current 2/3" HD field lenses, allowing easy integration into work environments. Both also incorporate a 20-pin connector for integration with virtual systems and are also compatible with Canon accessories designed for Canon 2/3" HD field lenses.
