Intercom from an Apple Watch with Clear-Com

Making its European debut at IBC, the Agent-IC update offers support for all three versions of the Apple Watch, extending the Agent-IC control surface to wearable Apple devices.

In IBC 2018, Clear-Com will present Agent-IC 2.2, the latest version of its application that expands access to its intercom through mobile devices such as the Apple Watch.

The Agent-IC app allows smartphones and tablets to connect to Clear-Com's Eclipse-HX matrix system, or LQ series IP interfaces that facilitate connections to any Partyline system, whether locally or remotely.

Now, with this optional feature in Agent IC 2.2, Apple Watch users no longer need to use their iPhones to initiate or answer calls. With a distinctive tap on the wrist, Apple Watch users receive clear and discreet notification of an intercom call, can instantly see the caller ID over the intercom, and can respond via a paired Bluetooth headset or iPhone.

Discreet haptic signaling on the user's wrist means calls are not missed even when background noise is high. Users can also view the call on the watch face, eliminating the need to reach for their iPhone in situations where such an action may be inappropriate.

The IC-Agent interface on Apple Watch features a home screen, allowing you to select the host intercom system and user profile using the watch's digital crown, with on-screen buttons to start and end connections.
