Audio Technica and IBC 2018 1

The participation of Audio-Technica in IBC 2018 in Amsterdam (stand 8.C35) it features a couple of new shotgun microphones, the models BP28 and BP28L from his series Broadcast & Production.

Audio Technica BP28These microphones combine exceptionally low-noise, large-diaphragm condenser elements in shotgun models, with extremely tight polar patterns, especially suited for long-distance sound recordings.

Two length options available: BP28 355mm long, y 568mm BP28L, both with a patented acoustic port to maintain directionality throughout the frequency range.

These two models, available in Europe next winter, offer a reference dynamic range on the market, with self-noise of only 3dB (BP28L) and 8dB (BP28), with an SPL handling of 143dB in the case of the BP28, and 138dB in the BP28L.

In addition, they offer a response similar to that of a studio microphone in remote miking applications, such as movie sets, outdoor television, sports broadcasts, etc. and are supplied with the included Rycote protective carrying case.

Audio-Technica also shows its latest wireless systems at IBC 2018 Series 3000 and Series 5000. The Series 5000 dual receiver delivers high-quality wireless live sound, with the manufacturer's dual-component circuitry, processing high and low frequencies separately, and True Diversity operation.

The receiver has been upgraded with a tuning bandwidth of 230 MHz: 470-700 MHz and users now have the option to select a standard receiver with two balanced XLR outputs (ATW-R5220) or a receiver that also includes a Dante output (ATW-R5220DAN).

El chasis del receptor de rack completo tiene dos receptores independientes y dispone de alimentación de antena, exploración de frecuencia, funcionalidad de sincronización IR, un interruptor de tierra y un conector para auriculares en el panel frontal.

La cuarta generación de los sistemas inalámbricos de la Serie 3000 from Audio-Technica provides the user with power and flexibility to work in the congested UHF spectrum. With a tuning range of 60 MHz (more than double that offered by previous versions), they are available in four frequency bands: DE2 (470–530 MHz), EE1 (530–590 MHz), EF1 (590–650 MHz) and FG1 (650–700 MHz). These frequencies can be scanned and selected on the receiver and then synchronized with the transmitter via IR.

Audio-technica BPHS2SAlso on display at the Audio-Technica stand is the new BPHS2 stereo headset, based on the new ATH-M60x professional monitoring headphones with the same proprietary 45mm large-aperture drivers.

This rugged stereo headset offers a low-profile, closed-in-ear design with broadcast-ready voice reproduction. Available in three configurations: the standard BPHS2 stereo and BPHS2S single-ear versions, both with a hypercardioid dynamic microphone, and the BPHS2C stereo with a condenser microphone.
