'Spanish Version', Spike of Honor of the Seminci for its 20th anniversary

Along with the popular and long-running film program La 2 de Televisión Española, the filmmakers Juan Antonio Bayona and Icíar Bollaín, and the actor Eduard Fernández, will receive the Spike of Honor.

Spanish Version You will receive next Tuesday, October 23, the Spike of Honor of the 63rd edition of the Seminci. A prestigious award for the La 2 cinema space, which celebrates its twenty years on air como programa fundamental para conocer la historia de la cinematografía española y a sus protagonistas.

Presentado por Cayetana Guillén Cuervo y dirigido desde 2004 por Félix Piñuela, Versión Española nació un 6 de octubre de 1998, creado y dirigido por Santiago Tabernero, y es el único programa de televisión que ha obtenido la Medalla de Oro al Mérito en las Bellas Artes.

El programa, por el que han pasado todos los nombres fundamentales del cine español, ha propiciado el encuentro de grandes maestros con autores jóvenes; ha prestado especial atención a las creadoras; ha relacionado el cine con su entorno sociocultural, lo que ha servido para hablar y debatir sobre temas como la guerra civil, la emigración o la visibilidad lésbica; y ha apoyado desde sus inicios el cortometraje a través de su Concurso Iberoamericano de Cortometrajes Versión Española-SGAE, que ha descubierto a algunos nombres fundamentales del cine actual.

Junto a Versión Española recibirán una Espiga de Honor en la Gala del Cine Español los cineastas Juan Antonio Bayona e Iciar Bollaín, y el actor Eduard Fernandez.

Special from Seminci

Spanish Version, which throughout the season will celebrate its 20th anniversary through different actions, will hold a special program from the Seminci of Valladolid which will be broadcast on Sunday, October 28.

The space will have the presence of another of the winners of the Golden Spike, the filmmaker Icíar Bollaín, and with the broadcast of one of the most awarded films of recent years: El olivo, starring Anna Castillo and Javier Gutiérrez.
