'23 shots' (Canal Sur) and Lourdes Maldonado (Telemadrid), Iris Autonomous Awards
The Television Academy also recognizes the Aragón TV program 'Desmontando a Goya' with a second prize for its originality and impact among viewers in that Community.
In the anteroom of the Iris Awards that will be announced on October 23, the Council of the Television Academy has announced the only awards by direct designation.
The winners in the regional categories have been Lourdes Maldonado by Telenews 1 (Telemadrid) as best presenter and the long documentary 23 shots (Channel Sur) as best program.
This feature-length documentary produced by ADM tries to clarify, many years after the case had expired, the events surrounding the violent death of Manuel José García Caparrós, on December 4, 1977, the day on which Andalusians took to the streets to demand the highest quotas of autonomy. Facts that justice was unable to clarify, and for which no one was ever charged.
Furthermore, the Council wanted to recognize with a consolation prize to the program Dismantling Goya from Aragon TV for its originality and impact among the viewers of that Community.
The Academy Council is the highest decision-making body of the Institution in which the Board of Directors participates and is made up of representatives of generalist networks, regional channels, digital platforms and copyright management entities.
The winners in the regional categories will receive the award during the XX Iris Awards Ceremony of the Television Academy next Tuesday, October 23 at Kinépolis Ciudad de la Imagen. This day the winners will also be announced in the 12 categories voted on, secretly and before a notary, by the academics.
