Nepalese public television migrates to HD with For-A solutions
Nepal Television adopts For-A signal processors, mixers and matrices due to the response time, price and reliability of the product.
Under a mandate from the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology of Nepal, the nepali public broadcaster It is due to move to high definition in January next year, which also marks the 34th anniversary since the start of its broadcasts.
By January 31, 2019, Nepal Television will be operating three HD studios, replacing all your current equipment from SD to HD. As part of this migration, Nepal Television will use two video mixers For-A HVS-2000 of 2 M/E for two of its studios, a video mixer HVS-2000 3 M/E for larger production studio and signal processors FA-9520 dual channel for frame synchronization, color correction and up-, down- and cross-conversion.
Nepal Television had been using HVS-390 video switchers in two studios, including a regional studio in Kohalpur.
Nepal Television will also upgrade the Main Control Room (MCR) and Program Control Room (PCR) of its two national channels (NTV and NTV PLUS) to Full HD. Nepal Television to use two routing matrices For-A MFR-3000, one in the main control room and another as redundant. In the program control room, For-A's MFR-1616 array will serve as the upstream array, the HVS-100 as the on-air production array, and the FA-9520 for all signal processing.
