Atresmedia Radio makes the leap to Echo, the family of Amazon devices with Alexa
The Atresmedia group stations make the leap to Amazon's smart speakers, bringing the contents of Onda Cero, Europa FM and Melodía FM closer to the new forms of radio consumption that have already begun to arrive.
Atresmedia Radio takes another step in its strategy to adapt to the new possibilities and forms of radio consumption that are arriving thanks to new technological developments.
Thus, and as a consequence of this, the live broadcasts of Onda Cero, Europa FM and Melodía FM can now be followed through the Echo family of devices, the new speakers that Amazon has just launched in Spain and that integrate Alexa.
To do this, Onda Cero, Europa FM and Melodía FM have separate skills (name of voice applications in Alexa), which allow you to tune into these radio stations live through Alexa, providing a new way to easily access the content of Atresmedia stations.
Alexa offers the possibility of accessing live shows from the three Atresmedia Radio channels. To do this, you must first activate the skill by saying “Alexa, activate Onda Cero” (or Europa FM or Melodía FM) and to open the skill the following times, the user will say “Alexa, open Onda Cero” (or Europa FM or Melodía FM).
Alexa also allows you to have the latest Onda Cero newsletter on demand. To do this, you must first activate the skill by saying “Alexa, activate Noticias Onda Cero”. Then just ask whenever you want, “Alexa, what's my news.”
Likewise, through Amazon's Echo family of speakers, users can enjoy Carlos Alsina's 8 a.m. monologue and José Ramón de la Morena and Fernando Ónega's commentary on more than one, the reflection of Juan Ramón Lucas in The compass, and Elena Gijón's analysis in Midday news. To do this, you must activate the desired skill, invoking “Alexa, open (skill name)” to place it as predefined. Then you have to ask “Alexa, what is my news” to be able to listen to the content whenever you want.
In addition, it is also possible to listen to Onda Cero podcasts. To do this, say “Alexa, activate the podcast (podcast name)”. Then, just say “Alexa, I want to listen to the podcast (podcast name)”.
