By 2024, Africa will have 46 million homes subscribed to pay television
According to a study by Digital TV Research, Africa will add more than 16 million pay television subscribers between 2018 and 2024, which would bring its total to 45.63 million.

In 2018, three groups accounted for 93% of pay-TV subscribers in sub-Saharan Africa, although this proportion will fall to 89% in 2024.
Multichoice It had 14.34 million subscribers on the DStv satellite television platform and the GOtv digital terrestrial television platform at the end of 2018. This total will grow by 5 million to reach 19.37 million in 2024, according to estimates by Digital Tv Research.
For its part, the French Vivendi It had 4.01 million subscribers to its Canal Plus satellite television platform and the Easy TV digital terrestrial television platform at the end of 2018, which will rise to 6.21 million in 2024.
