Dalet Galaxy Five provides Al Rayyan with a complete content production, management and distribution platform that eliminates legacy silo organization.

Al Rayyan TV

The channel Al Rayyan TV has centralized all its media operations on the media platform Dalet Galaxy Five. A subsidiary of Al Rayyan Media and Marketing Company, Al Rayyan TV is known for its Qatari cultural programming, offering a wide range of self-produced and locally produced shows, magazines and news programs. The renewal of technical infrastructure across the company is part of the move to its new state-of-the-art facilities located in Souq Waqif, Doha.

With Dalet Galaxy Five underpinning the operation, the Al Rayyan TV team can Seamlessly connect each stage of the workflow, managing content from the moment it arrives at the facility through program production and distribution across satellite, digital and social media channels from a single platform. Dalet Galaxy's seamless workflow brings significant productivity gains to all aspects of media operations, improving not only program airtime but also the overall quality of program packages and spending more time on content creation.

Mohamad Naim Al Said, director of Al Rayyan's engineering department, explains that "the business objective driving this update is to meet the needs and expectations of Qatari and expatriate viewers for a more robust program offering. As we are a tapeless environment and so that our teams can produce and share content internally much more efficiently, accelerating our production schedules and spending more time creating high-quality packages, we decided to opt for Dalet Galaxy 5 as a collaboration software that centralizes our valuable assets under a single system. The underlying media asset management and workflow orchestration functionality allows us to seamlessly exchange content from one department to another, laying the foundation for expanding our program production and delivery options. Two main sections of Al Rayyan's Engineering Department, such as MCR, Ingest and Broadcast IT Teams, which are led by Ghandi Elghotmi and Riyaz Mirza respectively, tirelessly planned, initiated and completed the work with SMC and Dalet during the launch of Dalet MAM System in the migration project.”

The full implementation of Dalet Galaxy Five enables Al Rayyan to build an end-to-end digital content supply chain that connects and unifies all operations and processes, from ingest to post-production, to distribution via satellite and social media channels, to archives. Key components include a centralized content catalog (MAM), search and media management; Seamless collaboration between all users, including editors in Adobe Premiere Pro CC through Dalet Xtend; centralized ingest management via the Dalet Brio video server, and scalable transcoding of Dalet AmberFin. Production and management teams across all operations can easily access files, with more program content options thanks to seamless integration via the Dalet API.

Dalet Professional Services and your local partner Salam Media Cast They collaborate with Al Rayyan Team through the entire process, from the architecture of the new technical system, the design of the new production and programming workflows, to the implementation of the solution, the training of the different user groups and the support.

Johann Zemmour, CEO of Dalet in EMEA and APAC, comments that "Dalet Galaxy Five provides Al Rayyan with a complete content production, management and distribution platform that eliminates legacy siled organization. It is a new agile foundation, supported by a team of experts that can help them take the leap forward. They can now leverage emerging technologies such as AI, adapt more quickly and create new efficiencies that will allow them to expand their programming beyond the expectations of their audience."
