Dalet Flex cloud technology consolidates Migo's innovative content distribution flow

The digital distribution service Migo benefits from media logistics platform The valley Flex to manage your data delivery operations.

Migo offers a variety of high-quality video content for download via local WiFi hotspots called Migo Download Stations (MDS) for offline viewing on mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. The solution is currently offered in the Jakarta metropolitan area, where smartphones are common, but downloading large volumes of content or streaming over the cellular network is often not possible due to limited budgets or insufficient broadband infrastructure.

The cloud platform Dalet Flex manages video and metadata packaging requirements, ensuring delivery complies with partner service license agreements and compliance regulations. As highlighted Daniel Money, Director of Operations and Supply Chain at Migo, “Dalet Flex is a strategic technology solution that manages our data delivery workflow, as we build an entirely new category for content delivery and consumption using a content delivery network (CDN) that is telecommunications agnostic.”

Dalet Flex's cloud-native architecture provided Migo the flexibility it needed to adapt to changes brought on by the pandemic, while supporting its ambitious growth plans to reach 1,000 locations this year. It serves as a “base of operations” for Migo, offering logistics capabilities that orchestrate the packaging of its contents. Hosted in Amazon Web Services (AWS), the end-to-end workflow simplifies numerous pre- and post-configurations while providing transparency to the business.

Migo is a downloadable “bag” of on-the-go content. Consumers can download Migo content over a local public WiFi network at one of the planned 100,000 owned kiosks, located in small convenience and general stores throughout Indonesia. Once downloaded, consumers can view them offline anytime, anywhere, without the need for an Internet connection.

Migo's innovative workflow has been shortlisted for the prestigious IBC2021 Innovation Awards and will be presented at the NAB Broadcast Engineering and IT (BEIT) Conference on Wednesday, October 13 at 11:30 AM PST.
