Thanks to effective management and its ability to anticipate change, Atresmedia, where sand joined in 2003 as CEO, has achieved great business milestones, among which the company went public in April 2003 and became the spearhead of the Spanish audiovisual industry and one of the most profitable communication groups in Europe.
"I am very proud to have helped build the great company that is Atresmedia. And I want to thank each of the people and teams with whom I have collaborated during these years for their work. Together we have contributed to the growth and consolidation of the audiovisual industry in this country. It has been an honor to have the support of the Board and the shareholders of the Company and, especially, José Creuheras, Marco Drago and Silvio González. I want to have a few words of memory for José Manuel Lara with whom I began my professional career in Atresmedia,” said Maurizio Carlotti.

The withdrawal of Maurizio Carlotti will be submitted for approval by the Atresmedia Shareholders' Meeting to be held next April.
A long and prestigious career
Born in Venice in 1953, he began his professional career in 1979 as general director of local television Televenezia. Later, he went on to hold various management positions in companies dedicated to the advertising business until joining Publitalia, a Fininvest group company, in 1986, where he held the position of Vice General Director, with responsibility for the areas of Marketing and Sales.
In 1994 he joined the Telecinco group (Mediaset) where he held the positions of CEO of Publiespaña, general director of Telecinco and CEO of the group, a position he held until 1998, the year in which he returned to Italy as CEO of Mediaset Italia, with responsibility for the Media and Content area until his incorporation in 2000 to the De Agostini group.
In June 2003, he was appointed CEO of Atresmedia Corporación after becoming a shareholder in Planeta De Agostini. To date and since July 2008, he held the position of vice president of Atresmedia Corporación.
