The Film Festival will celebrate its tenth anniversary from June 3 to 5
In total, more than 22 million spectators have enjoyed the Film Festival organized by FEDICINE, FECE and the ICAA in these ten years.
The sixteenth edition of the Film Festival will be celebrated throughout Spain on the days Monday 3, Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 5 June. With this event, organized by the Federation of Film Distributors (FEDICINE), the Federation of Cinemas of Spain (HE DID) and the Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts (ICAA), the aim is to encourage attendance at movie theaters as a social and cultural habit, and to show the Industry's gratitude to all the viewers who enjoy the magic of movies on the big screen every year.
As usual, spectators must obtain their accreditation at the official website. Those over 60 and under 14 years old will not need to be accredited to enjoy the event.
The advance sale of tickets for the three days of the event will begin on Sunday, June 2, exclusively online, both on the cinema websites and on traditional ticket sales websites. On Monday, June 3, the first day of the Film Festival, tickets can also be purchased at the box office and at the kiosks located in the cinema halls.
The last edition of the Film Festival was held in 2018, in the month of October and registered a total of 1,339,946 spectators during the three days of the event. The Nun, Johnny English: Back in Action y everyone knows it They were the films most watched by viewers.
10 years, 22 million viewers
This new edition of the Film Festival coincides with its tenth anniversary (2009-2019). In total more than 22 million spectators have enjoyed the Film Festival in these 10 years.
The first edition of the Film Festival was held in June 2009 and was attended by 342,000 spectators. Over the years, the Film Festival gained presence and increased viewer participation until reaching the record number of 2.6 million viewers in the October 2016 edition.
On the occasion of this anniversary, a special spot has been made, which can be seen in all participating cinemas, which reviews the highest-grossing films in these 10 years of the Film Festival.
