The Festivalito La Palma will celebrate its 20th edition from June 6 to 14, 2025

After hosting more than 3,500 people in its last edition, the Festivalito La Palma will celebrate its 20th anniversary from June 6 to 14, 2025 in its usual setting: the island of La Palma.

He cultural event, which in its last edition generated a direct economic impact of almost a million euros in accommodation, restaurants, transport and shops, as indicated by the study carried out by the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, it has not only strengthened the Canarian audiovisual industry from La Palma, but has become a cultural, social and economic reference within and outside the islands. Only during the week that the last edition lasted, were filmed more than 100 short films in La Palma, which brought the stories told in the 19 editions to 1,200. Each of these short films is linked to nature, culture and the heart of the island, projecting La Palma throughout the world.

This projection also extends to the digital realm. In the 19th edition, the channel YouTube of the Festivalito achieved more than 2 million views. This figure represents almost half of the channel's accumulated views in almost 15 years since its opening, which demonstrates the growth potential of the Canary Islands competition.

2025 will be the year of 20 anniversary of the La Palma Festival. The event will keep its essence intact: being a festival where films are made, where coexistence is fundamental and where The Palm Rolls, the heart of the festival, will once again tell unique stories, conceived and created on Isla Bonita. There will be no shortage of other essentials of the Festivalito, such as the projections of Festivalito Cinerama, which will offer local and international cinema, and concerts by Festivalito Sonora, which will set the pace for the programming week.
