The director of 'El Orfanato', 'The Impossible' or 'A Monster Comes to See Me' collects the award at the Yelmo Cines Ideal in Madrid.

The Catalan film director, Juan Antonio Bayona, has been awarded the award for best director within the events celebrating the tenth anniversary of the Film Festival.

This recognition has been the result of a popular vote following the contest organized by the Federation of Cinematographic Distributors (FEDICINE), the Federation of Cinemas of Spain (FECE) and the Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts (ICAA), promoters of the cCne Festival.

Together with Juan Antonio Bayona (best director for Impossible) have been awarded Champions (best film), Gloria Ramos (best actress for Champions) and Javier Gutiérrez (best actor for Champions).

The Award ceremony took place this weekend at the Yelmo Cines Ideal in Madrid. Juan Antonio Bayona received the award from Juan Ramón Gómez Fabra (FECE), Estela Artacho (FEDICINE) and Beatriz Navas, general director of the ICAA.
