Nugen Audio makes immersive audio projects easy at IMN Creative
Nugen's intuitive plug-ins help the audio post-producer focus on the art of mixing for television, film and live performance.
The mixing engineer Mark Binder has worked with some of the most notable names in the television and film industry, including the Russo brothers, J.J. Abrams and Mark Mangini. His resume also boasts a variety of high-profile projects such as Star Trek, Paranormal Activity, Community, Channel Zero, Deadly Class y Super 8.
With his immense knowledge and practical experience, Binder created his own post-production company, IMN Creative and, since then, has trusted Nugen Audio to improve your mixes.
Binder was looking for a solution that would standardize its audio under Recommendation ITU-R B.S.1770 for broadcast environments. He also needed something that would allow him to meet strict delivery specifications, adapt to the fluidity and speed of his workflow, and not alter the tonality of the mix. Through his research, he came across Nugen Audio and began adapting their solutions for surround.
"Mixers are artists, and I'm a big believer in the creative process. In the audio post-production business, we're seen as technicians rather than artists. I think George Lucas was right when he said that 'sound and music are 50 percent of the entertainment in a movie,'" says Binder.
One of the Nugen products that Binder finds particularly useful is LM-Correct. The ease of use and architecture of plug-in adaptable They provide Binder with the ability to perform quick scans, while viewing the meter and scale allows you to adjust the mix immediately. Binder also uses the limiter ISL True Peak and credits the plugin for its transparency.
