Nugen Audio will exhibit its AMB processing solution at IBC 2016. Nugen Audio Founder and Creative Director Jon Schorah highlights that Nugen has developed this technology in response to customer demand for greater flexibility, greater processing power, scalability and more features. “With AMB our customers will have access to a greater selection of the company's audio technologies, all designed to accelerate workflows,” says Schorah.

Nugen's AMB Audio processor (Audio Management Batch) includes new customization possibilities and several extensions. These new options include upmix/downmix, an extension of DynApt technology, and noise management support for MXF and ProRes files.

Nugen Audio will also introduce a major update to its Halo Upmix software that adds a new set of multichannel audio upmixing algorithms to the upper channel count, including LCR to 5.1, 5.1 to 7.1, and 7.1 to 9.1. Option 9.1 allows the introduction of vertical positioning into the upmix, generating an upmix compatible with the 7.1.2 (Dolby Atmos) track.
