CP2309-RGB: Christie's new RealLaser projector designed for small movie theaters
With a power of more than 8,500 lumens and a 2000:1 contrast ratio, the CP2309-RGB projector bases its design on the popular CP2315-RGB that incorporates Christie CineLife electronics, Christie's proprietary “all-in-one” system.
Coinciding with CineEurope 2019, which is celebrated until the 19th in Barcelona, Christie is presenting a new addition to the CineLife series. This is the Christie CP2309-RGB projector, equipped with RealLaser lighting technology.
In this event, he also presents the speaker Christie Vive Audio LA3i and preview the CP4450-RGB, in an impressive display of the brand's technological capabilities in the field of Premium Large Format (PLF) cinematic.
Redesigned for improved performance and with a smaller form factor, the Vive Audio LA3i is the only cinema speaker on the market that works with ribbon-driver technology and articulated arrays. The result is the richest and most vibrant sound in the sector today. Christie also presents the LS2C and LA3si surround speakers, born to provide the best audio experience in the film industry.
With a power greater than 8,500 lumens, a 2000:1 contrast ratio, the CP2309-RGB projector bases its design on the popular CP2315-RGB, which incorporates Christie CineLife electronics, Christie's proprietary all-in-one system. Very close to 95% of the Rec. 2020 color space, with the CP2309-RGB room owners are assured of deeper, richer and more realistic color for more than a decade.
Christie's executive vice president for film, Dale Miller, comments that "we understand that cinema projection occurs in all types of formats: from small screens to PLFs. With the new CP2309-RGB Christie expands the family of its patented "all-in-one" direct-coupled RGB lighting system, which provides reliability, high contrast and exceptional chromaticism, at an unusually low cost of ownership. If we add to this the impeccable sound of the Vive Audio LA3i speaker, the result is that our customers have a cinema experience as “new as well as complete.”
The compact, all-in-one design of the CP2309-RGB eliminates the need for external coolers, which take up space, and facilitates simple installation, which represents economic savings in the short and long term for the exhibitor. The CP2309-RGB, which will be on the market in summer 2019, reuses existing lenses and accessories from the Christie CP2308, CP2208 and Solaria One platforms.
At CineEurope 2019, Christie also previews the CP4450-RGB, a large format projector equipped with dual laser optical systems (LOS) and high-speed CineLife+ electronics, capable of reproducing 4K with 120Hz HFR.
Also on display is the CP4330-RGB, a new projector that combines 4K resolution, a wider color gamut and contrast ratios that far exceed the DCI standard, achieving much greater depth of detail.
