Globomedia incorporates Lorenzo Silva for fiction production

The agreement will begin with the adaptation of his latest book, 'If this is a woman', written in collaboration with Noemí Trujillo, and the long-awaited series about the saga starring the popular characters Bevilacqua and Chamorro.

The Mediapro Studio, through his production company Globomedia, has signed a collaboration agreement with the writer Lorenzo Silva for the adaptation of fictional content inspired by his novels.

The first two projects included in it will be a fiction based on his latest book If this is a woman (Destino publishing house), written in collaboration with Noemí Trujillo, and the long-awaited series about her two fetish characters, the couple from the Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard, Rubén Bevilacqua and Virginia Chamorro, protagonists of Nine novels and two stories (Destination).

Author of more than thirty novels and numerous non-fiction works, as well as stories and titles of children's and youth fiction, Lorenzo Silva, one of the main best-sellers on the Spanish creative scene, also has experience as fiction and documentary screenwriter, including film adaptations of his novels.

He was nominated for the 2004 Goya for the screenplay of The weakness of the Bolshevik and is co-author of 20-N. Franco's last days, which received the award for best TV movie from the Television Academy in 2009. Awarded as a writer with many awards, including the Planeta for The meridian mark, seventh novel in the Bevilacqua and Chamorro series, and Nadal, by The impatient alchemist, the second novel in the saga, Silva is a reference in current Spanish narrative and a preeminent author among contemporary classics of genre literature.

Silva himself will be responsible, together with Globomedia, for these adaptations by leading the teams of scriptwriters in charge of each one. In the case of If this is a woman, will also do so in collaboration with Noemí Trujillo, co-author of this new fiction saga, starring Inspector Manuela Mauri, who in this novel investigates a chilling case that reveals the worst scourges of our society.

Regarding the adaptation as a television series of the cases investigated by Bevilacqua and Chamorro, this is excellent news for their fans, who have been demanding a television version of these characters for a long time. The project will be based on a plot that will unite two of the titles published to date.
