Evertz deploys large-scale IP systems based on its software-defined video networking (SDVN) solutions in France, Italy, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), South Africa and Australia.

Evertz in IBC 2019

Evertz will present from September 13 to 17 at IBC 2019 its latest advanced solutions for UHD/4K/8K content creators and distributors.

The company continues to successfully deploy large scale IP systems based on their solutions software-defined video networks (SDVN) with recent installations in France, Italy, United Arab Emirates (UAE), South Africa and Australia.

With over 400 global SDVN installations, Evertz has proven that IP has arrived and is ready to go. At IBC 2019, Evertz showcases its tools that leverage an IP-based infrastructure to provide new efficient workflows for production and broadcast.
Regarding the orchestration system for any IP infrastructure, Magnum, Evertz's solution orchestrates network architectures that have hundreds of thousands of IP media streams (based on ST 2110) with over a thousand IP devices to provide large-scale, dynamic media workflows.

Mo Goyal, director of international business development, highlighted at the beginning of this IBC that the broadcaster Telemundo In the United States, Magnum is managing more than 150,000 will flow to ST-2110 on more than 600 devices.

On the other hand, it stands out at the Evertz stand, Vue, which redefines the user experience by delivering media workflows in media installation. Vue brings user control to a dynamic, operational user interface that enables unique contextual interfaces based on specific production tasks. Vue's versatility and flexibility enables media companies to create new and efficient operational workflows for content creation and delivery.

Evertz participates this year in the demonstration area of IP Showcase (Room E106/107) for ST 2110 and NMOS IS-04/05. Evertz will present a case study on his latest installation based on ST 2110 on M6 on Friday, September 13 at 2:00 p.m. in the IP Showcase Theater (E106).

Scorpion

Scorpion, Evertz's intelligent media processing platform, has quickly become a critical element for any IP installation. Scorpion's versatile and extensive I/O options for video, audio and data signals are important for any installation, whether 12G/3G/HD-SDI or IP. For IBC 2019, a new Scorpion mini I/O (MIO) module called MIO-BLADE.

He MY-BLADE combines the Scorpion platform and Evertz evEDGE services to enable media companies to leverage flexible compute engines to run video/audio processing functions as dynamic software services. MIO-BLADE is the latest addition to the Evertz evEDGE family of computers to help media companies move from single-function hardware to more robust “software as a service” (on commodity hardware). With the additional support of input encoding/decoding (such as JPEG2000), Scorpion and MIO-BLADE can be used in many applications, including transporting media over the WAN for remote production.

12G-SDI Solutions

Evertz continues to invest in technologies that respond to the needs and challenges of its customers. At IBC 2019, the expansion of the 12G-SDI and IP product line for the production of UHD y HDR It is very present. Introducing the core of the 12G-SDI solution, the new EQXUHD-10, the first enterprise-class 12G-SDI router. The EQXUHD-10 is the latest addition to the EQX family featuring redundant crosspoints, I/O flexibility for fiber coaxial and IP, as well as advanced I/O processing capabilities (including audio keying, input frame synchronization and clean switching). Also check out SCORPION now with 12G-SDI compatible mini I/O modules.

For IBC 2019, Evertz presents EVMV-25G-2XQSFP, an integrated multi-display that supports 32 processing inputs (using ST 2110) and up to 4 UHD outputs via a 25GbE interface. Evertz will also introduce support for the new BBC HLG v1.3 LUTs for HDR in some of its conversion products.

Evertz also exhibits at IBC Bravo, the latest addition to DreamCatcher's suite of live production tools. As a unique collaborative production system, Bravo enables more live events to be produced more efficiently. Bravo is an application on the DreamCatcher architecture that provides all the features necessary for a multi-camera production, including: video/audio mixing, dynamic graphics, support for external graphics engines, replays and summaries.

in the cloud

At IBC 2019, Evertz highlights its cloud broadcast which includes Mediator-X, Overture y Render-X. More than 1,000 channels have been launched based on the highly available, reliable, fully virtualized and scalable linear broadcast automation and media asset management solution. The Evertz cloud issuance solution is natively deployed on Amazon Web Services (AWS), a public cloud-based computing platform specialized in on-demand computing and storage services. For some Mediator-X customers, Overture and Render-X are distributed diversely across multiple geographic regions. For other clients, a combination of internal and external resources has been used.

Mediator-X provides media companies with a powerful workflow engine to fully automate media asset management (MAM) processes, as well as robust playout automation that increases efficiency and simplifies the overall approach to content management and playout.

Overture, Evertz's Modular Playout Engine Software, offers an extensive list of complex secondary events, including logo/graphic insertion, rich SCTE metadata messages, audio loudness correction, Nielsen watermarking, Dolby D encoding, and much more. The system also provides the ability to scale and recover broadcast instances using automated orchestration methodologies, allowing media companies the agility and flexibility to dynamically scale their operations.

In addition, Evertz highlights its new platform MediaFlow software defined. This platform launches on the Google cloud and allows partners to pre-process, encode, capture and distribute media streams globally with the push of a button. MediaFlow enables delay, lip sync adjustment, audio transcoding, and data modification/insertion into compressed streams for incorporation into OTT and distribution platforms.

Evertz will present our cloud-based solutions and participate in the Google Cloud Partner Pavilion at IBC 2019 in hall 14, stand E01.
