Record TV inaugurates new studios and offices in Florida
The Brazilian broadcaster, responding to the great demand for content in new formats (UHD and 4K) and differentiated access to traditional broadcasts (IP and streaming), is launching new studios in the US equipped with the latest systems and technologies in the sector.
Coinciding with its 66th anniversary, the Brazilian broadcaster Record TV has inaugurated its new studios and offices in Lighthouse Point, a town about 60 kilometers from Miami (Florida).
The event, which took place in the innovative facilities, was attended by hundreds of guests. Among the guests were prominent personalities from American and Brazilian public life, such as diplomats, politicians and celebrities.
The event, presented by Ana Hickmann, presenter of the program Today in Day, featured the intervention of the mayor of Lighthouse Point, Glenn Troast, who cut the ribbon for the inauguration of the new building
"We are very proud to have Record TV in our city. We have worked with them over the last few years to get the building right and see how wonderful everything looks. With the vibrant Brazilian community we have in South Florida, the building will be a true icon for our city," he commented.
The president of the Brazilian Tourism Institute (Embratur), Gilson Machado, also spoke at the event, highlighting the agency's work in the constant promotion of Brazil in the world.
Then the Ambassador João Mendes Pereira, Consul General of Brazil in Miami, highlighted the importance of television for the Brazilian community living outside the country.
Wilon Cardoso, executive director of Record TV Americas, thanked the presence of the US authorities present, as well as all the partners and guests, ensuring that this is only the beginning of a series of bets and investments that the channel intends to continue making in the coming years.
The CEO of Record TV International, Marcelo Cardoso, recalled the history between Brazil and the United States: "Brazil shares great stories with the United States. It was Brazil that hosted the first diplomatic representation of the United States in the Southern Hemisphere. There are those who do not know it, but the United States was also, officially, the first country in the world to recognize the independence of Brazil in 1824, therefore, two years after its proclamation," he highlighted.
Cardoso closed the ceremony with a toast and highlighted the broadcaster's new projects in the country, including the production of a local news program. "Our priority is the people we serve. At Record TV, our viewers have a voice. They know they are not alone, they know they have a channel to entertain, inform and represent them wherever they are," he said.
Founded almost two decades ago in the United States, Record TV was the first Brazilian channel to broadcast in high definition throughout the United States. Now, responding to the great demand for content in new formats (UHD and 4K) and differentiated access to traditional broadcasts (IP and streaming), it is launching new studios equipped with the latest systems and technologies in the sector.
With entertainment programming, series, documentaries, exclusive sporting events, live and breaking news, and hit soap operas, the network is even closer to Portuguese-speaking communities in more than 150 countries.
