Netshow Capital will invest 10 million euros per year in TV series “made in Spain”
The Irish investment group FRK Investments Group launches a new fund to invest 30 million Euros in audiovisual production.
The capital fund Netshow Capital (FRK Investments group), an Irish investment vehicle specialized in audiovisual production of television series to be seen mainly on streaming platforms, now arrives in Spain.
Although its operations are international, it will focus on television series made in Spain, where it hopes to invest. 10 million a year in high-budget productions and that they travel well to other countries, with emphasis on America.
The fund seeks co-invest with production companies and platforms in exchange for production equity, without majorities, in a model similar to that of venture capital, then supporting with their know-how and networks of contacts to attract other investors and support the international sale of the rights. In that sense, Netshow is already studying various projects with large production companies and reaching agreements with platforms and large international distributors.
David Blasco, managing partner of Netshow, comments that "our objective is to provide the complementary but necessary capital so that the projects can be produced under the appropriate conditions and then support the international sale of the rights, both in the first and second window."

Netshow espera hacer su primer “closing” a finales de 2019, teniendo ya comprometida la mitad del fondo, para comenzar a invertir en series en el primer trimestre de 2020. “Es un fondo de inversión alternativa con un riesgo muy controlado y con unos retornos muy atractivos en plazos inferiores a 6 años, una inversión muy interesante y con mucho potencial”, señala Jesús Fernández, managing partner de FRK Investments group.
Con sede en Dublín y abriendo oficinas en Madrid, FRK Investments centra principalmente su actividad en los mercados de Irlanda/UK, Polonia, Israel, USA y España.
