Spanish Television begins filming of the new series 'Hit'
Directed by Elena Trapé and Alvaro Fernández Armero, and produced together with Grupo Ganga, it will be filmed in natural locations in Madrid in the coming weeks.
The actor Daniel Grao will give life to Professor Hugo Ibarra Tomás, protagonist of Hit, the new series produced by RTVE in collaboration with Ganga Group. Directed by Elena Trapé and Álvaro Fernández Armero, will focus on one of the most pressing issues in Spanish society: the education of our children.
Along with Daniel Grao, this new fiction stars Olaya Caldera and a very young cast who faces her first television job: Carmen Arrufat (nominated for the Goya award for best new actress for The innocence, starring RTVE), Nourdin Batan, Oriol Beer, Gabriel Guevara, Ignacio Hidalgo, Maria Rivera, Leire Cabezas, Melias Jesus and Krista Martin.
The new fiction, which will be filmed in natural locations of Madrid Over the next few weeks, follow the life of a secondary school after a brutal attack of vandalism. “It describes, without half measures, what is not going well at all in the classrooms of thousands of educational centers in Spain,” according to Joaquín Oristrell, author of the project.
“After so many years in film and television, Hit It gives meaning to all my previous work. It is a high-voltage bet, a commitment, a necessary series. I appreciate RTVE's courage in taking on this challenge," adds Oristrell. The script team also includes Yolanda García Serrano, Jacobo Delgado and Pablo Bartolomé.
Daniel Grao plays Hugo Ibarra Tomás, an education professional who is a mix of psychologist, teacher and soldier who is asked for help by Ester (Olaya Caldera), the director of a secondary education center where school coexistence has become unsustainable.
Hit, the acronym of the protagonist's name, is a controversial character, marked by a traumatic past, who selects a group of students and offers them unconventional classes. Through the original working method proposed by Hit, each chapter will address topics such as the loneliness of the youngest in the era of social networks, sex and addictions, or the lack of support for the work of teachers.
