TVE debuts impressive LED screens on several sets in Prado del Rey

Data Media has installed and configured a total of 15 Alfalite LED screens on the sets where 'The Morning of La 1', 'As of Today', 'The Adventure of Knowledge', 'Aqui La Tierra', 'Corazón' and 'España Directo' are produced.

Datos Media Technologies The integration of several Alfalite LED screen systems on the Spanish Television sets in Prado del Rey (Madrid) has been completed.

For this project, products from the highest range of products have been chosen. Alfalite, a Spanish company with more than 20 years of experience in the sector, along with technology from NovaStar.

Rafael Zapardiel, from the Data Media Sales Department, states that "for this demanding project, we have opted for Alfalite technology and its Litefix modules, which have provided an excellent solution to the needs that arose on the different RTVE sets, thus providing a visualization and scenography system that, in one case, goes beyond 5K horizontal resolution."

Curved and flat screens

They have been installed and configured a total of 15 screens (both curved and flat) distributed on the different sets where they are produced The morning of La 1, Starting today, The adventure of knowledge, Here is the land, Heart y Spain Direct. For the latter, the largest curved screen has been configured, with a length of 14 meters and a total resolution of 6,414,336 px (5568 x 1152 px). The Total surface area of ​​installed screens is close to 200m², with a total of 769 modules Litefix 2.6 from Alfalite and its corresponding processing and scaling systems such as the Alfalite LVP4K.

Litefix panels have a robust aluminum chassis of great stability and precision, and are equipped with a power supply that does not require the use of fans, allowing their use on TV sets. The panels are equipped with 3 in 1 RGB SMD LED technology and they have a pixel pitch de 2,6mm, achieving a good density of pixels per square meter (192 x 192 per panel) in addition to a 16-bit color processing capacity, reproducing almost 300 trillion colors with a vertical and horizontal viewing angle of 160º. All this added to a contrast ratio of 5000:1 with a brightness of 1500 cd per square meter, and since the NovaStar A8s receiving card is incorporated, HDR support is provided to the system.

Processing and scaling

He processing and scaling system image is composed of the LVP4K de Alfalite and the NovaStar VX4s all-in-one. In the case of the LVP4K, it allows a configuration of up to 4 HDMI 2.0 inputs with support for UHD resolutions and with up to 8 DVI outputs that feed the display controllers, a task carried out by the NovaStar MCTRL600 equipment that is capable of handling up to 2.3 million pixels. Multiple units can be cascaded to drive higher resolution displays with simple control.

All screens have a robust structure to support their weight and dimensions and has been equipped with a complete electrical distribution system that allows their consumption to be sectored and balanced, while guaranteeing protection against any problem.

It is noteworthy that the entire installation has been carried out without interrupting the production of the programs, which has led to exhaustive planning and a significant deployment of human and technical resources to guarantee seamless continuity in the production of the different programs. Without a doubt, these new screens will provide great attractiveness and visual quality to the different content in Spanish Television programs.
