Leyard - LED - NFL - RTL Deutschland

LED screens Leyard star in the new studio of the Nitro channel RTL Germany, with which television carries out its coverage of the NFL.

Laurin Schmid, Leyard's sales director for the DACH region, worked closely with RTL's project manager, Oliver Reich, and the Veech x Veech design team, led by Stuart Veech, in the choice of the LED screen for this film set 265 m2. The main objective was to guarantee the best in-camera color reproduction and at the same time avoid unwanted artifacts such as moiré and flicker patterns.

The final design of the NFL studio encompasses an open area, accessible in 360 degrees, with four central LED walls. The centerpiece of the studio is a large videowall curvo 11.5 m long and 2.7 m high, composed of 38 by 4 LED panels Leyard AT of 1.5 mm, which the commentators to offer updated classifications and analysis of the matches together with the experts. This type of curved LED wall is a recognizable element for the RTL audience, as similar installations have been made in the studios RTL Aktuell y Point 12.

Another of the presenters of the format has another LED wall vertical through which you can display the contents of the social networks in a format similar to what viewers are used to seeing on their mobile phones. The studio also incorporates an LED screen Leyard AT 1.5 mm 6 x 4 panels, one IMF 1.2mm 5x5 and a 1.2mm 5x5 TVF, along with a CLI-Flex 1.3 mm 12 x 4 used as LED table surface.

Once the project is completed and already in operation, Schmid is satisfied with the performance of the solutions Leyard: “At Leyard, we firmly believe that reliability, quality, trust and teamwork must come together to deliver an exceptional project. In this case, these factors have culminated in RTL's development of a remarkable new studio facility that we are confident they will make the most of for the current 2023/24 NFL season and beyond.”
