TVN24, the first European channel to use the new Sony PXW-Z750 cameras in its news

Poland's largest and most watched 24-hour news network receives the first PXW-Z750 camcorders to increase its operational agility, improve image quality and lay the foundation for 4K broadcasting in the future.

TVN24, the largest and most watched 24-hour news network in Poland has become the first customer to receive ten camcorders PXW-Z750 4K of Sony to update your infrastructure with 4K/UHD output and increase the agility of your information broadcasts.

As a regular Sony customer, TVN24's acquisition of these modern PXW-Z750 4K camcorders will replace more than 80 Sony PDW-700 and PMW-500 shoulder camcorders currently in use. With the Z750 camcorders, the news network's production team will be able to record with technology 4K High Dynamic Range (HDR) and High Frame Rate (HFR), capable of offering 4K image quality with high sensitivity and vivid color reproduction, ideal for the production of news and live broadcasts.

Jarosław Kielmel, Director of Technology at TVN Discovery Polska explains: "Having invested in various Sony broadcast solutions over the years, we were looking forward to collaborating with Sony to upgrade our news production capabilities with future 4K technology. We were very surprised by the image quality of the PXW-Z750, especially when recording in HD using its 3CMOS sensors. Thanks to its great flexibility, the PXW-Z750 will soon become our main “camcorder for 24-hour information broadcast.”

The PXW-Z750 model, which was launched at IBC 2019, is the First 2/3-type 3-chip 4K shoulder camcorder to be equipped with global shutter technology, which allows you to record clear, sharp images, eliminating artifacts such as flash banding and linear scan distortion. Thanks to all this, this camcorder allows TVN24 to record in unpredictable lighting conditions and capture objects and actions at high speed. Additionally, its 4K/HD simultaneous recording features give TVN24 the option to capture content in 4K HDR and HD HDR at the same time.

Following the successful testing period, TVN24 intends to expand its PXW-Z750 range by gradually replacing existing cameras with new models.
