This week, audiovisual filming has been activated in the areas of Andalusia that have entered Phase 1, complying with the measures established in Chapter X of the BOE, Order SND/399/2020 of Saturday, May 9.

With the suspension of filming after the declaration of State of alarm On March 13, more than 120 projects assisted audiovisual Andalucía Film Commission and the Film Cities Network They were paralyzed in our community.

Many of these projects have been preparing for weeks to return to activity and some of them did so yesterday, adapting to the conditions established by the Government in the Ministerial Order that includes prevention and hygiene measures adapted to filming; the conditions for carrying out filming, both on sets and private spaces and in public spaces that have the authorization of the city council concerned; and the protection, signaling and information elements that must be provided to workers.

Guide to professionals

From the Andalusia Film Commission and the Film Cities Network, all the tools are now activated to serve both the productions that are resuming their activity and those new productions that are now starting to work on their project, adapting to the new situation. In addition, we have worked together with the rest of the partners of the Spain Film Commission, an entity that encompasses the film commissions/offices of Spain on a manual of good practices that can serve as a guide for professionals, without binding force.

The reactivation of activity, together with the announcement by the Government of increase in tax incentives for filming of up to 30% With an increase in the spending limit of up to 10 million euros, together with the fact that this community has maintained very low rates of COVID19 contagion, it allows Andalusia to position itself very positively in terms of attracting new projects, for which the Andalucía Film Commission is already working.

Andalucía Film Commission has enabled a special informative section where you can consult all the information on how to film in Andalusia, manuals of good safety practices, information on the new tax incentive, and everything necessary to safely plan a filming.
