The actor from Malaga and the Catalan journalist will direct and present the big night of Spanish cinema, which will be held at the Teatro del Soho CaixaBank in Malaga, with connections and interventions from other Spanish cities.

The actor, director and producer Antonio Banderas and the journalist and president of the Television Academy, Maria Casado, will direct and lead the 35th edition of the Goya 2021, awards that will be presented on February 27 in it Soho CaixaBank Theater in Malaga, a space in which connections and interventions will be made from several Spanish cities.

Mariano Barroso, president of the Film Academy, comments that "we want to give our public and the entire society the best we have, and among the best is undoubtedly Antonio Banderas. We contacted him and Antonio immediately made himself available to us so that the next gala is celebrated in a responsible manner and committed to the moment and to society."

“We have reached an agreement for it to be him, with his new production company Teatro Soho TV (TST) and in the theater he founded, whoever presents and directs our next Goya Awards accompanied by María Casado,” adds Barroso.

The artist from Malaga and the Catalan communicator will debut as hosts of an evening that will be held at the Teatro del Soho CaixaBank in Malaga and in which prominent actors, actresses and filmmakers from Spanish and international cinema will participate.

The gala will adapt to the new situation, with capacity restrictions and extreme measures established by the health authorities, and will be a responsible, supportive, emotional and close ceremony, in which the art, talent, creativity and imagination of the world of cinema will be valued.
