The Carlos III University equips its facilities with a Carbonite mixer from Ross Video

The Assembly Hall of the Puerta de Toledo Campus (Madrid) will have a Carbonite Black Solo intended for recording events and broadcasting live streaming.

The Carlos III University (Madrid) is immersed in a project to install new audiovisual technologies in which Datos Media Technologies will be in charge of this integration.

One of the first actions has been to provide the assembly hall of the Puerta de Toledo Campus (Madrid), one of the four locations of the Madrid university, with a mixer Carbonite Black Solo of Ross Video.

Postgraduate activities, university master's degrees and continuing education activities are carried out on the Puerta de Toledo campus. A more specialized and higher level training that requires facilities accordingly. Now, thanks to the new installation of this mixer it will have the capacity to power record events, broadcast live streaming and even perform video conferencing.

Educational tool

Manuel Paredes, sales director for Italy, Portugal and Spain at Ross Video, highlights that “in the university environment, Carbonite Black Solo is not only an excellent solution for the production of events at the Carlos III University, but it is also a valuable educational tool that students use in their learning about media.”

The Carbonite Black Solo compact video mixer features up to 12 inputs in 3G HD SDI and one HDMI, offering up to 5 outputs in 3G HD SDI and another in HDMI. Includes an ME (Mix Effect Busses) y 2 Mini ME independent of the main one (with two keyers each) and with Clean Feed output. It also includes 6 freely assignable frame synchronizers and internal format converters.

For graphics production, the XPression Live CG software package is included. Carbonite allows you to view ten video signals thanks to the integrated multiviewer.
